Roku - Premium Japanese Gin

Roku Gin, which translates as "six" in Japanese, is made with six traditional Japanese botanicals that are infused, distilled and blended by the Japanese artisans of Suntory Spirits in Osaka, Japan.

The premium craft gin's flavor profile is achieved by balancing six unique Japanese botanicals with eight traditional gin botanicals. The Japanese botanicals – Sakura flower, Sakura leaf, Yuzu peel, Sencha tea, Gyokuro tea and Sansho pepper – are harvested in accordance with 'shun', the tradition of enjoying each ingredient at its best by only harvesting at its peak of flavor and perfection. It is then distilled using a selection of different pot stills, each chosen to ensure the best flavor is extracted from each botanical. The result is a complex yet harmonious gin with a smooth and silky texture.

Its bottle and label have been carefully designed to appeal to the Japanese sense of aesthetics and beauty. Roku's bottle is cast in a hexagonal shape, representing each of the six uniquely Japanese botanicals inside, and is finished with delicate embossing. The Japanese kanji symbol for six is printed on the label, which is made of traditional washi paper.

Roku can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in the Roku Rickey, a Japanese twist on a classic cocktail. The pairing of chilled soda water with Roku enhances the gin's aromatic and floral notes from the botanicals.

Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels

For over three centuries, the House of Martell has been renowned for the delicate, refined style of its cognacs. True to its spirit of curiosity, the House of Martell is further exploring the ageing dimension of its savoir-faire with the launch of an outstanding new cognac: Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels.

Like all Martell cognacs, Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels is matured exclusively in casks of fine-grained oak from France’s ancient TronÇais forest. Typically crafted from wood between 180 and 200 years old, these casks are characterized by finer, less pronounced tannins, which respect the delicacy of Martell’s clear wines. As a consequence, the aromas that develop are more subtle, more generous and more refined.

Uniquely, however, for Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels, the Martell Cellar Master selected oak casks already used to age eaux-de-vie, where the influence of tannins is even less pronounced. These precious barrels have reached the perfect stage of maturation for both the oak and the eaux-de-vie, thus allowing for an ideally balanced exchange between the two. Not only are they able to fully express their natural fruit aromas, but these blend harmoniously with subtle woody overtones from the red barrels of fine-grained oak, resulting in an exceptionally rich and refined cognac that is an authentic expression of the Martell style.

Already, to the eye, the colour of Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels - a warm copper with glints of gold - marks it out as a particularly intriguing cognac. On the nose, the impression is one of fullness and freshness, characterized by intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit - mirabelle plum, greengage, apricot and vine peach. On the palate, these luscious fruit notes fuse deliciously with hints of wood and soft spices, as the harmony between the eaux-de-vie and the precious red barrels in which they were aged is reflected in the perfect balance of delicacy and aromatic power of this exceptional cognac.

Jim Beam Repeal Batch - Taste Of Post-Prohibition Style Bourbon

Jim Beam announced the release of Jim Beam Repeal Batch, a non-chill filtered, 86-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey inspired by the same liquid produced by the Beam family following Prohibition's repeal. This limited edition offering, with a label inspired by post-Prohibition Jim Beam bottlings from the 1930s, celebrates the 85th anniversary of Prohibition's repeal and the perseverance James B. Beam put into rebuilding the Jim Beam distillery in 1933 – a feat accomplished in only 120 days.

After a 13-year hiatus from the bourbon industry during Prohibition, and at nearly 70 years old, James B. Beam and his family rebuilt the distillery in Clermont by hand to get the family business up and running once again. Today, Jim Beam is the best-selling bourbon in the world.

Jim Beam Repeal Batch is aged four years, similar to Jim Beam Bourbon, however this unique liquid is non-chill filtered, resulting in a bourbon with fuller mouthfeel and tasting notes that include char, oak and caramelized tones. It has a light amber color, with an aroma that carries oaky notes, balanced with light vanilla and a hint of brown spice.

Jim Beam Repeal Batch is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in a signature cocktail, such as the whiskey punch cocktail, which includes bourbon, Italian vermouth, pineapple syrup and lemon juice. This exclusive offering can be found for a limited time at select retailers nationwide on shelves alongside Jim Beam Original and other premium offerings.
